Helpful Hint

I may just have re-invented the wheel!  However, if you have not thought about this you may just find this hint very helpful!

Most of us receive a lot of catalogs this time of the year.  Before tossing them out, you can make good use of them in your studio.

First, see if there are is anything you wish to clip for your image files.  Consider at least two categories:  ideas for future art, and images for future collage work.

Second, catalogs are the perfect thing on which to do all your gluing!  Instead of having many messy papers around, the glued upon pages are all neatly contained in the catalog you are currently using for that purpose!
This method has helped create some degree of order on my work table.  Have you all been doing this all along?

how funny you should say this..as I just did this! I added it to the showcase.. Chico catalogs tend to be one of my favorites.. I put catalogs..then the journal.. then the cards I made from the journal page. I blogged it (the art blog)
Happy to have my computer back!

I clip ideas from catalogs, especially designs I could adapt for jewelry.

As to the gluing - years ago I took a card-making class where the teacher suggested using old phone book pages to glue on, so I've stuck with (ha ha) that.

(I hope I'm not posting this over and over - I keep getting error messages, so I don't know if it's going through or not - sorry)
