Do What Brings You Joy

Rest not! Life is sweeping by; Go dare before you die. Something mighty and sublime, Leave behind to conquer time. (Johann W. von Goethe)

It's amazing what effect experiencing death up close and personal can do. Oddly enough, I never thought I would live this long, but at the same time I also had no sense of the preciousness of time. Watching my husband go from a healthy, robust hunk of a man who loved life.. to death in a short 5 and a half year period... despite excellent care...certainly filled me with grief, but having experienced and mourned his leaving every day of his illness, joy returned blessedly rapidly. Thank you, Effexor.

With the joy also came a passion for living life fully... only to be knocked down by my own health issues. Well on the path to recovery, I am happy for being blessed once again with the energy
to do what brings me joy.

I am teaching an online design class, heading an online group of artists in a tag book project, meeting other local artists, and formulating plans for both a monthly artist soiree at my house,
as well as a group show of "outsider art"...as we may have to call our work here in Texas where
art is thought of as painting. I am also writing, and planning a trip to take a workshop from a
San Miguel de Allende artist. http://www.madebyanado.com/ Doesn't this look like it is right up my alley?! Perhaps, because he calls his work "outsider art" is why I like the term so much.
