Anne's Vision Quilt

It gives me great pleasure to show you Anne's completed Vision Quilt! I crammed a bit much into the class, and so finishing was a bit of a challenge for everyone, but look at this! I think it's fabulous!
**********

Anne writes:
This one is quiet, peace, time to think, uninterrupted. Even a Wise Woman needs a break now and again. I'm not sure if she's meditating or napping, but whatever it is at the moment, she's enjoying the quiet.

She has a white tiger for protection, a snowy owl for wisdom, the full moon for inspiration, and a small heart-shaped clock pendant to give her all the time in the world. Her power wand is made from a twig from our pomegranate tree; it has a quartz point. Her earrings are nature goddesses. I like her hair; it's kind of what I hope mine will be, when I get past the calico cat phase.

Materials include: Indonesian batiks, poly-clay face, handspun wools, silk velvet, assorted pewter charms, Extravorganza fabric (images printed on computer printer and appliquéd to the quilt), velvet leaves, vintage cotton mushrooms, various threads and fibres.
*************
P.S. Each student represented herself in her ideal environment, based on the principle of a vision board.

This is really, really quite lovely. I love the tiger for protection and all the other details that make it so unique and personal! Great going Anne! Great teaching Mai-Liis.
