The Cat-Lady

Paper and clay over styrofoam.... Finally I have made a cat-lady. Eighteen cats cling to her, plus two mice and a few fish skeletons.

Hmmm, this is delightful and fun... and maybe a bit of a self-portrait, no?

Actually, I did wonder whether I had done a self-portrait when I finished the piece....and, then, once again...when Anne called it "weird, wonderful, and delightful". I mean, that's me.:-) But you know what, I could never stand still as long as she does!:-)

"Chaska the Cat Lady, a Moment in Time." I doubt most cats would stand still that long either.

Yes, you are weird, wonderful and delightful in all the best ways.

Hmmm ...18 cats... remind you of anyone you know? Do you take commissions or sell your work? If so I would certainly be interested in a Cat Lady statue!
(We are now down to only 21 cats in the household!)
