Sculpture in the Wild

I saw trees like this when I was in Tanzania,
and, just like the ones I saw, this massive
trunk makes a wonderful home for small creatures.

But, oh, what creatures this one holds!
No one knows who the sculptor was, but everyone is amazed that it was so carefully done as
not to kill the tree.

The Tree of Life is a massive 145-foot masterpiece sculpted by more than a dozen artists.
With 325 animal carvings on the outside, this 50-foot wide artificial tree is the centerpiece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida.

Yes, there are many magnificent trees of life all over the world, but the one I am showing is special in my mind because the Baobob tree is in the middle of African wilderness, and the carving done with primitive instruments. The tree lives in spite of the carvings in its massive trunk.
