Fabulous Boxes
Today, I share with you the work of California artist, Betty Radford. I met Betty in 2003 when she signed up for every single class I taught in Danville, CA. It wasn't just her enthusiasm which impressed me, but what I saw to be tremendous talent. Betty's work inspires me!
Horizontal cigar box. I would love this on my coffee table!

I don't know why I feel so intimidated by boxes like this--I long to make shrines in a box but somehow keep from doing it. Thanks for providing some great inspiration

Lin, yes, many people feel the same way that you do. What makes box shrines a bit challenging is their 3-dimensionality. If accustomed to working fairly flat, as in most paper or fabric pieces, you have to train yourself to thing three dimensionally. You can do it!!
